Ketelbinkie is a white cordless kettle that sits on a fire. The kettle has an automatic shut-off, boil-dry protection and a filter at the spout. Thanks to the on/off button with light indication, you can see when the kettle is ready. Ketelbinkie can be rotated 360 degrees, so you can place it on the fire in any position. The kettle has a hidden heating element, making it easy to clean. Ketelbinkie is made to heat a maximum of 1.2 liters at a time. The kettle is BPA and BPS free. The kettle has recently been improved in a number of areas. The on/off switch has been made stronger. And now the kettle clearly shows how far you can best fill it, not below the minimum, but also not above the maximum. If you fill it too full, the water may slosh out of the spout while it is heating up. Pay attention to the maximum water level marking in the kettle. This kettle is equipped with an overfill protection. This will ensure that in the event of overfilling the kettle, the water does not come into contact with the electrical parts of the kettle so that no unsafe situations can arise. If you overfill, the water will flow down the inside of the kettle and leave the kettle at the bottom, without coming close to the electric element. The design of this kettle allows condensation to escape through the on/off switch after heating. After extensive research, it has been concluded that this condensation does not pose a safety risk with regard to short circuit in the device and/or burns of the user. The Ketelbinkie kettle received an honorable mention at the HEMA design competition in 2012 due to its special design. It was designed by Tim Braams from TU Delft.
