The basis of Becel omega 3 plus consists of a mix of oils that are extracted from, among other things, the seeds of sunflowers, linseed flowers and rapeseed flowers that grow on farmland. The mix of oils is enriched with two types of omega 3 (vegetable omega 3 - Alpha linolenic acid - and omega 3 from fish). To make a spreadable margarine product from these oils, a limited amount of 'hard fat' is required. That hard fat gives Becel a solid, creamy structure. As hard fat, sustainable palm oil with the RSPO quality mark is used in Becel Omega 3+. Becel Omega 3 makes an important contribution to the required daily amount of Omega 3. This contributes to the maintenance of healthy cholesterol levels in the blood. And that is why Becel is good for the heart. If you are looking for a product to work more actively on lowering cholesterol, it is best to use Becel proactiv products, which contain plant sterols. Plant sterols have been shown to lower blood cholesterol.
