It comes from Yecla, a wine region near Valencia. There, they prefer to drink this red wine chilled in the summer. This brings out the fruity taste best. It pairs well with spare ribs and fish from the barbecue. Monastrell grapes are used to make light, fresh-fruity wines as well as powerful, oak-aged wines. No wooden barrels were used for this wine. It has matured in stainless steel vats. This preserves the young, lively fruit taste and the fresh acids best.
