The Rotterdammer is a dry sausage type and has a coarse structure. Delicious to cut into slices on the snack board. This cervelat sausage initially enjoyed great popularity among sailors from the port of Rotterdam. They took this durable product with them on their long sea voyages as food for the journey. Compaxo therefore quickly named this sausage after the Maasstad.
