      Jan Stok worked in the kitchen on the ships of the Holland-America Line in the 1960s. As 'chef garde manger' he was responsible for the cold kitchen. His French colleagues soon translated his name to 'JEANBÂTON'. Under that name he became known for his tasty sauces. Today, Jean Bâton makes special mayonnaises, sauces and dressings. As a tribute to the craftsmanship of Jan Stok. The famous Jean Bâton Truffle Mayonnaise is prepared with real truffle and goes perfectly with a nice piece of meat. But you can also make something special with truffle mayonnaise from an old cheese sandwich, a carpaccio or a piece of cod.
