Jan Stok worked in the kitchen on the ships of the Holland-America Line in the 1960s. As 'chef garde manger' he was responsible for the cold kitchen. His French colleagues soon translated his name to 'JEANBÂTON'. Under that name he became known for his delicious sauces. Today Jean Bâton makes special mayonnaises, sauces and dressings. As a tribute to the craftsmanship of Jan Stok. The famous Jean Bâton Truffle Mayonnaise is made with real truffle and goes perfectly with a nice piece of meat. But truffle mayonnaise also makes something special of a sandwich with old cheese, a carpaccio or a piece of cod. Packaged in a 245 ml squeeze bottle.
