    Supplies
    • 1 pack of Koopmans Cookies
    • 225 g butter or margarine
    • 1 egg
    • Possibly. flour for dusting the counter (all at room temperature).

    Oven temperature
    Electric oven: 170°C
    Fan oven: 150°C
    Gas oven: setting 3

    Preparation time
    Preparation: approximately 20 minutes.
    Baking time: 15-20 minutes.

    Preparation method
    1. Preheat the oven.
    2. Grease the oven baking tray with butter or baking spray (e.g. Dr. Oetker) or use baking paper.
    3. Stir the 225 g butter gently in a mixing bowl and add the mix. To prepare dough for cookie cutters, see tips & variations below.
    4. Knead the mixture with a mixer with dough hooks or by hand into a cohesive dough.
    5. Divide the dough into three equal parts.
    6. Dust the counter with flour and roll each part into a 20 cm rolling pin.
    7. Place the dough rolls in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes to firm up.
    8. Cut the dough rolls into equal slices (thickness approx. 1 cm).
    9. Place the dough slices on the greased baking tray with a space of approximately 3-5 cm between them.
    10. Brush the cookies with a beaten egg and decorate them with chocolate, almond shavings, raisins, almonds, walnuts or chopped hazelnuts (e.g. Dr. Oetker).
    11. Bake the cookies in the middle of the oven for 15-20 minutes until done and light brown.
    12. The cookies are soft when they come out of the oven. Let them cool until they are wonderfully brittle.

    Tips & Variations
    • For cookie cutters you can add 1 egg and 100 g butter (instead of 225 g butter). These cookies will then spread less during baking.
    • Mix 65 g cocoa powder (approximately 10 tablespoons) and milk (approximately 4 tablespoons) into the chocolate chip cookie dough.
    • You can decorate the cookies with icing and sprinkle decorations of your choice (e.g. Dr. Oetker).

    Storage tip
    Store the cooled cookies in a tightly closed container for up to 2 weeks. Cookies cannot be frozen.
