Lipton earl gray tea has a relaxing and warming effect. Earl gray tea is flavored with the addition of bergamot oil. The fragrant oil from the peel of this citrus fruit is added to the black tea to give earl gray its unique taste. 'grey' or 'gray' sounds a bit boring, but the taste is anything but. Earl gray is fresh, wonderfully invigorating and a classic black tea with a hint of citrus and bergamot. The ingredients of the Lipton earl gray tea: black tea, aroma, blue cornflower petals (0.5%) and marigold petals (0.5%). This black tea has been loved for hundreds of years and is the preferred choice for true English afternoon tea. At Lipton, we believe that small changes can make a big difference to the planet. Following Lipton ice tea's transition to fully recycled plastic in 2020, Lipton's tea bags will become fully biodegradable in 2021. This means that the tea bags can be thrown away with the organic waste. During the course of the year, Lipton will replace plastic boxes with cardboard boxes with a protective coating. These cardboard packaging can be recycled with the old paper. With this, Lipton will save 88 tons of plastic per year in the Netherlands alone.
