Lightly smoked on oak and beech wood Made from pure pork from Gelderland and Overijssel We are André and Els van Rhee, the third generation butchers from the lovely village of Uddel, right in the heart of the Veluwe. Between 1999 and 2003, we took over the butcher’s shop from André’s uncle and father. Meat and sausage making runs in our blood. Over the years, we have received several awards, including the Bronze Smoked Sausage. We have also been ranked among the best sausage makers in the Netherlands several times. Our typical Gelderland sandwich sausage is one of the first products with which Van Rhee established its good name. For many years, we have made the sausage according to the same traditional recipe. The sausage is lightly smoked on oak and beech wood chips. This creates the wonderfully soft aftertaste of (a little) smoke on a creamy slice of sandwich sausage.
